Born and raised in Toms River, Paul graduated from Toms River Schools, his obituary says.

Paul was known for his caring personality, ability to make others smile, and love for his friends and family.

“Although Paul’s life was short, he touched the lives of so many with his kindness and generous heart,” reads his memorial.

Paul is survived by his loving parents, Brandon and Mary Bencivenga; his sister, Sarah Bencivenga, as well as several extended family members and dear friends.

Condolences poured in for the Jersey Shore native on social media:

“He was such a great guy and always wanted to help you,” reads a tribute from Ann Marie Kingston.

“He was just that type of person who cared. My heart breaks for his family, and he will definitely be missed.”

A celebration of Paul’s life was held at the Timothy E. Ryan Home in Toms River on Monday, March 21.

Donations can be made in Paul’s memory to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

“Paul will always live in our hearts and be Memory Eternal,” his obituary reads.
